Hello. My name is Boaz, son of Jonathan and Idy. I am 17 years old and am a senior at Northern Valley Old Tappan. I have been attending Overseas Chinese Missions Grace Church for as long as I can remember. I enjoy playing football, basketball, and other sports with friends when I have time. I spend most of my weekdays doing homework and projects for school. As a member of the praise team, I enjoy playing percussion instruments, such as the djembe, an African drum, and the drums. I am also involved with my school band and marching band by playing the trombone. In my freshman year of high school, I accepted Jesus Christ into my heart during a Korean retreat. From then on, I became more active in the church. Now I am the head of the skit department, and last year I was a youth leader. This summer the youth will be visiting the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation for about a week, which is located in South Dakota . There the youth interact and spread God’s message to those who live there. Through this, I plan to strengthen my relationship in God and try to reach out with love to those around me. During this trip I want learn more about God and strengthen bonds between the all the youth who will be attending this mission. After this mission, I hoped to be changed and renewed from the inside out. I believe after this experience, I will become a better Christian, a better person, and those who know me will see a transformation in me and my way of life.
