Hi my name is Erin, but you probably knew that already. You probably know a lot more about me too, that I love music, novels, food and competitions of any type, that I have two sisters and am a middle child, and that I will work hard and try to achieve anything that comes my way. This is because I have been attending OCM Grace Church ever since I was young.  It seems as if I have always been involved in the church, from participating in children’s choir way back when, to regularly attending Friday fellowships, Sunday services, special events, and serving at Bergen Regional Medical Center every month. This is because, well, I love God! It’s hard to believe that it could be that simple, but it is. I’ve believed in him ever since I can remember, and have been using my faith to serve mostly in a church setting. I feel that this 2008 short term mission trip will be the perfect opportunity to really test and apply my faith, and use what God has given to me to help others.

Whenever I think of missions or missionaries, I think of this huge, life-long project that saves people and changes lives. When I think if this mission trip, I start to laugh. I guess it just hasn’t hit me yet that I can make a difference in the world, that this trip will change lives, starting with my own. Well, “nothing is impossible with God” (Luke 1:37) right? Though I’m young, I can do it, just like Timothy, King Josiah, and all those other cool, young people in the bible. I guess all I have to do now is trust in God and wait to see what amazing things he has in store for me.
